The Advent of Christ: Prepared
We’ll be taking a break from Genesis for the month of December to focus on Advent. This Sunday, in John 1.1-5, we focused on how God prepared advent before the creation of the world in eternity past. We considered two main truths that helped to prepare the way for the coming of Christ: 1) the Pre-advent Christ and 2) The Pre-advent Covenant.
True & Lasting Peace
This world will promise you peace. The problem is the world only offers temporal superficial and self-manufactured peace. The world cannot give you the kind of peace that you desperately need. In John 20.19-23 we see that only the resurrection of Jesus can bring us true and enduring peace with God.
The Hope of the Resurrection
For Resurrection Sunday, we take a look at John 11 and consider the tragedy of death and the hope of resurrection from John 11. We consider four truths that are meant to build our hope in Christ and his resurrection: 1) Christ's Purpose, 2) Christ's Promise, 3) Christ's Passion, and 4) Christ's Power.
Community and Mission
Pastor Jay preaches from John 1:1-18 on how the Trinity perfectly unifies community and mission by examining in what state the Trinity exists, how long the Trinity has existed, and what the Trinity has accomplished.
